It looks like they do. But they are not in Sacramento, they are in Citrus Heights, a little way from Sacramento. They have a used MXT and DFX from White’s up on their used page right now. All their other pages have a White’s dealer button you can click. Hope that helps!

You should definitely not have any film go through checked luggage as, all checked luggage is powerfully x-rayed. The carry-on x-rays are not as powerful, but there is a chance of problems with undeveloped film. Lead bags do help, but some are better than others for protection.I’m not sure what the rules are in Mexico, but in the US you have the right to request a hand check of your carry-on baggage if you have film. So you should do that on your way there. On the way back you can certainly ask for a hand check, but I don’t know what the rules are there. Your safest bet is to have your film developed there at a reputable photodeveloper. X-ray scanning does not affect developed film.

For the same reason that you can’t yell “FIRE” in a crowded theater, even though we have freedom of speech.

It says it’s optimised for saltwater and black sand. Waterproof to 100 feet. This sounds like a decent detector for beach work. Whites is a well regarded company in the metal detector field.

I would go with the whites. Take a look at the websites for each one and you will see the difference. Famous Trails are a general outdoor line, where White’s makes nothing but metal detectors. They’ve been around for years. My first detector was an old Bounty Hunter cheapie from the1970’s. It cost around $60 but worked great. The second one I bought was a Garret . . . it was okay. A friend I used to hunt with had a White’s and it was a solid detector . . . .

I just bought my husband a metal detector for Christmas.. It’s a Garrett Ace 250 Deluxe Sport.. It’s called a ‘deluxe sport’ because it comes with the bigger coil. It was about $300. I got it from http://www.kellycodetectors.com.. The head-phones that it came with don’t have volume control, so I had to buy him better ones. I did A LOT of research and trust me it’s the best for the price.. I mean A LOT of research! He loves it and it works great!! Oh, and yes– the screen lets you know what it’s detecting.

You need to look for an underwater metal detector if you want to use it in the water. I used to metal detect alot with my dad, and we have found some awesome things, diamond rings, old money, gold, etc. It is a fun hobby. I suggest looking in parks, beaches, cemetarys. But as I said you have to have an underwater machine to go underwater, they range in price depending on the features.

I do not think that a metal detector will work. Maybe a really nice one would. Perhaps the thing to do is to calm down so you don’t smash it into the earth. Then, get a magnifying glass and get on your hands and knees just like Rick Moranas in Honey I shrunk the kids. Be patient. If you KNOW they are there, they will be there. Do not check in the morning or the dew may sparkle like your earrings. Check on a dry day in the middle of the day or right before dusk. That way, the sparkle will catch your eye. Have a dog? Don’t let them outside or they may eat it.If these were really expensive or are very special too you, the drastic thing to do is to let your lawn die, set small controlled fires, and the only thing left should be your earrings.I did that once to literally find a needle in a hay stack. How do you find a needle in a hay stack? Set the haystack on fire.I hope that you find it soon.

oh my god that sounds terrible!! i hope he’s feeling bad for what he did now, and wont do it again!!! wow, what a shame!!i definately think a metal detector would pick it up. but before you go down that route, perhaps start from one end of the room and go to the other, going over it all like a fine tooth comb and pick up anything you may have and move it (floor mats, shampoo etc).I really hope you find it! That is the most precious piece of jewellery! Please answer my question about my wedding, I have tried posting it for ages and its not working

its okay, the airport people are really nice and there to help you out. =)earrings are fine ( i was in the same boat last time i flew) you need to have your boarding pass and id out, like a drivers license. if you dont have your license like me, a school id works just fine.i typically wear sweatpants and a hoodie or jeans and a hoodie, something comfy. if i need to look decent for wherever im going once i land, i put the clothes i will need at the top of my suitcase and then change in the airport bathroom as soon as i get my luggagepink sweats do not have metal on them, as far as i know of.

If you got it for a good price then you did good! I have owned Whites and Garrett both, but I like my Tesoro best! Simple to use with good depth, super light weight so you can hunt all day!

To detect gold I think you need an expensive detector. Most of the ones bought at shops I think can only do base metals like iron or steel.I could be wrong. I am interested to see what others have to say.

I have a Bounty Hunter LandStar. It also happens to be for sale.

Whites is good (though expensive). Go to http://www.kellycodetectors.com and see the best MD company I know of. Call them or request a catalog online.

it depends it is still at the top surface (meaning that dirt or other things (roots) have not ‘pushed’ it to the bottom), and that it is not blocked by this [meaning that said object does not block (the 'signal') too much]

Whites brand is the best you can buy.I don’t own any metal detector, myself, but I have several friends who are “in” to using metal detectors on a regular basis. They all have Whites brand, and they all ’swear’ by it.That tells me more than any other advertisement or endorsement, etc..
