I’m so happy with this case! I recently purchased a new iphone as Apple claimed my existing phone had water damage; I was happy to see that both the ear phone connection and the charger connection had covers over them, which helps to ensure that my new phone will enclose those spaces that could potentially get water damage.

    Seeing as to how the iPhone 3G/3GS break so easily, I knew I wanted (needed) a rugged protective case. After searching around, it was easy to see that the Otterbox defender was the best choice.

    The case is super protective and did exactly what I wanted it to do.

    I only had one problem with this case, it is easily described as “watermark”. The built in screen protector sticks to the front glass of the phone and creates this sticky watermark on it. I searched online and found out by putting an anti-glare screen protector on the phone, it eliminates the cases built in screen protector from sticking.

    I had this case for a while but now I await for otterbox to release a iPhone 4 version. HURRY!

    Im in construction and my old phone was getting killed .
    This case is keeping my new phone like new.
    Solid attention to detail like covering up the ports everything is still functional acsess to the ringer and silent switch power headphone jack and home button as well as the port at the bottom for syncing and charging the only thing I have had a small problem with is some car chargers won’t fit with case on so I have to remove the case when I get in the car for charging not a bug deal for me though case comes off easily and back on just a easy once you done it a few times.

    I have had my case for several months and I am very happy with it. It is very durable, the watermarks
    are not a problem since I put an antiglare protective screen on it. Also I never experienced the echo sound
    some people have complained about. The only negative comment I have is regarding chargers. Some of the
    cheaper chargers don’t fit properly. If you purchase the chargers from Cingular or Apple, you won’t have a
    problem. Anyone purchase a cheaper charger that fits properly???? I hate spending $30. for another charger.

    This is clearly the best protective case one can buy for an iPhone. There are only two shortcomings. Often, a liquid or grease film develops between the phone and the case screen protector. Sometimes this can be improved by applying baby powder to the phone and wiping it off with a microfiber towel to remove excess accumulated finger grease. The phone should be cleaned well before placing in the case prior to the baby powder. The power outlet is very restrictive and thus the phone cannot be used with a lot of charging equipment other than the original USB cable. It will not dock into the radios and other devices without having to remove the case. It is definitely bulkier than the phone which some find offensive.
